Of overdrijf ik nu met het woord: as. Of moet het nearly zijn?

The beaches around Bergen are not nearly as nice.
Omdat near verwijst naar een verb, en adverbs vervoeg je vaker met ly. Dacht ik.

Persoonlijk zou ik schrijven :
The beaches around Bergen are not so nice as those in ….
of
…………………………………. are not as nice as those in …….

not nearly as nice as( hier is het contrast iets sterker bedoeld)
